Permanent Make-upPermanent Make-up, also known as micropigmentation, is a method of applying natural pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. This technique has been medically developed and specifically designed for safe, permanent application. Permanent make-up is used for a variety of beauty enhancements such as eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. Permanent make-up is beneficial for contact lens wearers, people with poor eyesight and even those who suffer from allergies.

Call for a free consultation; your expectations will be discussed; you will have an excellent idea of what your finished results will look like. Shapes, colors and intensity will be agreed upon, pre-procedure and post procedure care will be discussed, so that the day you come in to have your permanent make applied these decisions will be completed. Remember that micro pigmentation is intended to enhance your natural features not replace the need for make-up.

Is this type of make-up the same as a tattoo?
The permanent make-up application is similar to a tattoo in the respect that tiny needles do break the surface of the skin to implant the pigment under the dermis so that it does not wash or rub off. The pigment is implanted with sterilized disposable needles. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed.

Does the application of permanent make-up hurt?
Some patients may experience more discomfort than others. Various parts of the face are more sensitive, eyebrows for instance are much less sensitive than lips. A topical anesthetic is applied to the area. Most patients report a sense of vibration rather than discomfort. The application does not require a prescription medication. Simple over the counter pain relievers taken before should be sufficient for most people.

How long will permanent make-up last?
The application should last an average of 2 years. An adjustment is included in the original cost of the make-up. This is done within 90 days of the first application.

Who decides what shape and color my make up will be?
The patient will have a complimentary consultation with the esthetician who will be applying permanent make-up. Your colors and style will be matched to the permanent make-up colors and a trial application with color make-up pencils will assure you that we will apply the make-up according to your specifications.

Will I be able to go to work the next day?
Most patients have some moderate swelling in the treated areas, however simple over the counter pain relievers can be all that is needed. Normal daily activities may be resumed the following day.
